I believe it is a privilege to help you navigate the hardships that come with the significant challenges in your life.

My name is Angel, and I am an attorney dedicated to providing compassionate legal support. I earned my law degree from Ateneo School of Law in the Philippines, graduating with honors, and I was admitted to the Philippine Bar in 2008. In 2012, I relocated to the Bay Area, where I successfully passed the California Bar in 2013.

In the early years of my legal career in California, I volunteered at domestic violence clinics, fueled by my passion for helping underprivileged individuals. I served as a contract attorney for Asian Pacific Islander Legal Outreach and took on the role of interim director at their San Mateo Domestic Violence Clinic. These experiences revealed the critical intersections between family law and immigration status, shaping my unique practice focus.

Today, I specialize in the complex overlap between California family law and federal immigration law. Whether helping clients navigate divorce while protecting their immigration status, drafting prenuptial agreements for K-1 visa couples, or securing VAWA protections for domestic violence survivors, I understand how deeply these two areas of law intertwine. My expertise extends to the unique challenges faced by mixed-status families, the immigration implications of California's community property laws, and the careful balance required when family court decisions impact naturalization or permanent residency eligibility.

My own immigrant background has deepened my understanding of the challenges that come with uprooting oneself from the familiar and navigating a new environment. This personal experience, combined with my professional expertise in both family and immigration law, allows me to provide comprehensive guidance that addresses not just the legal complexities, but the human experience behind them.

My devotion to helping others has naturally led me into this specialized field of law. I strive to support you through your legal issues during this stressful time, understanding that family law matters are never just about California law when immigration status is involved. I look forward to being a guiding presence as we navigate these interconnected challenges together, ensuring that your family law decisions protect both your personal interests and your immigration future.

In my free time, I enjoy reading, scuba diving, and traveling. I love exploring new places, trying diverse cuisines, and hiking to discover the beauty of nature.
